I wanna get a toolbar with font sizes, smiles, text formatting and stuff...
I know they're around. I can't find them.

Check your options, you may only have basic editor at the moment. Go to User CP, Edit Options, then scroll to the bottom where Miscellaneous Options are, and change Message Editor Interface to either Standard Editor or Enhanced interface; try both and see which one you like better. :)
