Are there seminars I can go to either before or after the HSC where I can find out more about my options ?

A good question but a tough one for me to answer. Apart from the major careers expos and local expos it would be individual institutions (unis, tafes, colleges) that offer info sessions. If you are interested in a particular industry then try contacting their state association to see if anything is being run.
