Transfer from another UTS course to B Vis Comm (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm currently doing a BSci IT at UTS (2nd year) and find it boring and unsatisfying as hell... I seriously regret doing this course, and I regret thinking that I wanted to do anything to do with IT in general.

I wish to eventually transfer into B Vis Comm at UTS, but since I've already been at uni for more than one year, I think i classify as a non-school leaver, and have read that UTS only takes in a few non-school leavers (around 15) a year. Would it be stupid for me to apply for this course for entry in 09, as I dont really have any professional experience, nor do I have a portfolio.

I was thinking that maybe I should do a course at TAFE (namely Digital Media) and try to apply for 2010. Would this help?

One of my friends transferred from nursing into primary teaching and from memory she had to officially drop out of her course, and apply through UAC with an average of her marks as a UAI. You should give the faculty a friendly email to find out.
