Hi, im considering B Science (major Psych) at Macq, then transfer into law/Sci...now personally, i dont think ill get 90+, i think i can get 85-89...what are the chances of tranfering into the combined degree??

anothering, because im keeping ALL option open and say i dont get 87 for Bsc (psych) at macq, but got it at UNSW (only 80)...what are chances of sucessfully transfering from NSW (bsci) to Mac (Bsc/law)???

Im assuming its easier to xfer internally at mq.

From what im doing with my BA LLB quest, is that the requirements is you fulfill the reqs for the higher subject, ie Law, in which case you will need 18 CP (i may be wrong this is from memory) GPA 2.0 ( although realistically i was told its very competitive so 3.5 is a good gpa) and pass the other degree. Then you will be allowed to do LAW 103 and LAW 113 which are 'introductory' units into the law degree, once you pass that then you're officially enrolled.

who told you it was most likely 3.5 ? :(

I thought you were able to do LAW113/103 on just credit points attained (18.cp)
AFTER you've completed those 2, then your the GPA and c.p applies ?

I think its pretty risky tho, could end up doing 103/113, doing "well" , but then not making the enrolment coz of the quota/popularity nexxt year. :(

I went to the division and they told me id need at least 3.5 :S

Thats why ive been shitting myself lately. Due mainly to the fact i wont be able to get that, best i could do would be a 3.5 and thats 3 straight HD's which is damn near impossible really. (for me)

Ive applied through UAC as well, but ive been told that was more competitive and im only holding a slim chance of getting through that.

But come what may Ill probably end up doing law post-grad.

i reckon that its unfair to purely base in on internal xfer (gpa)

coz wot if u missed out the cutoff by 0.05, but only retain a credit average..:(
(not that i do) lol,

Yeah but its quota based so we cant really complain :)

If i knew the requirements beforehand, i would have worked harder last semester.

Im assuming total enrolled, since the number changes depending on popularity, and im guessing a percentage of those enrolled into the course would be calculated depending upon the popularity.
