Hey Guys,

Basically I'm an architecture student at melbourne uni (3rd year) and I really want to do Veterinary Medicine as I kind of realised that, that is where my passion and motivation lies. Long story short, I decided to continue and graduate (its a 3 yr new-gen degree) but now I'm not sure if I'll make it into Bachelor of Science at unimelb (which I wanted to do next year). I got an ENTER of 95.75 but I don't think that counts anymore as I'd have a degree at hand. My WAM isn't as good as it could be as I took it too easy last year (when I realised I'm really not liking my course). This year, I'm trying to get an 80 avg (doable if I study) but that still gives me a WAM of around 68. Would I be still competitive enough to get a spot?

Also what are my other options? I thought about Charles Sturt or doing science at monash and trasnferring back at melb if I really don't make it.

It's rather annoying as my ENTER is higher than required as well :(

Don't know if my reply is too late, seeing as you posted this in March but I'm pretty much in your exact situation except I'm doing animal /vet bioscience at usyd and I haven't finished my degree :)
I want to transfer to Bachelor of science at umelb and get into postgrad vet that way using the animal health and disease major they have and the vet bioscience specialisation one year course which is a guaranteed entry into vet.
It doesn't say so on the site but I'm pretty sure your enter/uai is invalid after you've done more than two years of uni study which sucks :( Hopefully melbourne uni does things differently because I did research and they did say umelb looks at enter as well as uni marks.
I say you have a fair chance of getting in if they look at enter ( hopefully they do !) but if not , I'd say go for science at monash , do well in the first year and try transferring either straight into vet at sydney, perth, adelaide etc. with science at umelb as a backup in case you don't get in :)

Best of luck ! Let me know how you go.
