I dont get the solutions to part iv

The solutions says V1 + V2 + V3 +.... gives the volume of a cone with height 1 unit and radius 1 unit.

$$Consider what happens when $ n=1, n=2. $ \newline You notice that as n becomes really large, you get a really small wedge. \newline It becomes intuitively obvious (and one can show by integration), that rotation of the area between $ y=x $ and $ y=x^5 $ is the same as that for adding the one between $ y=x $ and $ y=x^3 $ and $ y=x^3 $ and $ y=x^5$

$$ Simply you can consider the volume between $ y=x, $ and $ y=x^{N+1} $ as $ N $ becomes really really big. $ \displaystyle {(\frac{k}{k+1})}^{n} $ as $ n $ gets larger, this value approaches 0 (but never reaches 0 that said). The radius is the change in $ y $, and the height is the length of the interval in $ x$ .$
