Hey guys. It seems I've come down with either bacterial tonsilitis or glandular fever and my trials start tomorrow. Obviously I won't be able to sit for tomorrow's exam, and probably not for the rest of the week. If it's bacterial, I might be back on my feet for week 2 exams (Physics, Mathematics, Ext 1 Mathematics), but the rest I'm going to have to assume I'll probably get estimates for (as my illness has severly affected my studies).

I'd just like to know what kind of UAI I'd be heading for if I was to keep the same ranks now and achieve a similar result in the HSC exams. (I'm hoping this doesn't spoil any opportunties I've laid out for myself).

1) Subject: Software Design & Development, Mark: 92/100, Rank: 1/10

2) Subject: Physics, Mark: 21/23, Rank: 4/52

3) Subject: Chemsitry, Mark: 20.5/24, Rank: 7/53

4) Subject: Mathematics, Mark: (Unknown), Rank: ~35/117 (I don't seem to have my cumulative rank back for this one)

5) Subject: English Advanced, Mark: 16/20, Rank: 43/145

6) Subject: Mathematics Extension 1, Mark: 16/36, Rank: 56/69 (I doubt this one will be counted :D)

All marks are taken from the most recent assessment task.

I attend Hurlstone Agricultural High School (31st in 2002, 28th in 2003).

Thank you so much for your help, I'm just concerned for my UAI - getting sick never seems to come at a good time, but I guess better now than the HSC (touch wood).

see how you do in the trials first (u doing the catholic?)
then u'll be able to get a better idea of how ur going compared with other people.

At the moment tho i'd say around.. 85- low 90's but i don't think you've had enough assessments.

low 90's for sure if similar performance is sustained throughout.

Unfortunately doing trials is not really an option - at least not for the next couple of days. I'm in bed most of the time and I don't think I'd be capable of going to school at all.

is it contagious ?? hope yu get well soon ~~
lol, yes. The doctor got more detailed blood test results back today and it seems I only have a bacterial infection (good news). This means I should be on my feet again for next weeks exams (possibly for chemistry on Friday, but we'll see). I'll try and get back to study tomorrow and we'll see how I go.

I don't know how I got it though - usually it involves direct saliva contact from what I've seen. My gf hasn't had any problems with it lately, and I'm hoping I haven't passed it on either, so it's still a mystery (I don't remember kissing any strangers :D).
