I need someone to explain what happened in the second line, how did cosec^2x transform to cotx

Its based on the trigonometric identiy

1+cot^2 x= cosec^2 x

Here is my working out:

$\sin ^2 x + \cos^2 x = 1$

Divide both sides by sin^2 x,
$1+ \cot ^2 x = \cosec^2 x$
