What is the period of this trig graph?

y=4cos3(x-pi/6)

And if someone can explain the rest of the features it would be great! I know the amplitude is 4.

ALSO, how do you determine how to sketch y = 3 - cos2x ?

For that curve, n=3 (n is the coefficient of x).

Period = 2pi/n = 2pi/3.

Features, been shifted to the right by pi/6 and has a higher frequency (squished horizontally).

To sketch that curve, we have the following transformations.

- Squished horizontally by a factor of 2.

- Upside down.

- Shifted up by 3.
