just a question on triginometric functions....


for a question like the following:

sketch: 3tan2x

does the (3) have any effect on the graph.... i.e the amplitude...

I think the co-efficient simply makes the curves of the graph steeper.

It does have an effect on the graph but nothing really that can be shown unless you actually plot 3tan2x and tan2x on the same graph.
