Revised TTT question

I have to talk about how a related text 'is constructed as a representation of 'truth'' and how it 'deals with the concept of truth'.

I understand the first part - it's identifying the techniques eg style, language and explaining them, but the second I'm not so sure about.

Does it mean the truths that are contained within the text eg human minds and memories are fragile or what??

I'm still confused please help!

Re: Revised TTT question

whoa - take a step back.

Best way to approach essay questions is like this:

a) Figure out what it's actually asking
b) Come up with an answer - this is NOT an "insert technique here" moment, but an arguing point. Think something like a "case line" in a debating team
c) think of paragraph topics/argument points
d) come up with examples from the text to support this argument

Your problem here is that you're trying to jump to point D, but you haven't got anything to "support" yet. Think outside the study guide - why are things constructed as a "representation" of truth? Is it because we consciously know things aren't the truth but cling onto an ideal of it anyway, or is it because we DO think there is a truth and are constantly seeking to spread it to more people/discount other truths that other people are trying to project? etc etc
