with regards to UAC preferences,

5th jan is last date to change the preferences for the main round?

18th jan is when they send letters of offer for ur first preference (or the one closest to the first, for which u are eligible)?

does that mean that all the other preferences are cancelled?

isnt there any way of keeping other preferences for acceptance in a latter round?

its just that im not sure which preference i will choose yet...it also depends on whether i can get a scholarship...and wot if i dont know about where im gonna be getting the scholarship, before the 18th ??? (most likely the case..)

dilemma. pls help. thanks heaps.

No, if you get accepted for preference #1 and still wish to try out for #2, you can switch the two AFTER the main round offers for late and final round offers.

ummm,

if i change my preferences or add a new preference on the 4th january, will uac still have enough time to send my uai/results/personal details to the new university that i put in, for example....u know, by the 5th, seeing they "lock it in" on the 5th.......

anyone?

Yes, that's what the time after it's locked in is for.

if i change my preferences after the 5th,

will the new preferences be acknowledged before the 18th

or only after the 18th for another round?

thanks

Anything after the 5th will be considered for Late Round Entry

Firstly UAC would lock down preference changing for some time (not sure exactly, don't have UAC book), so you can't switch anything around shortly after the 5th.

Any change to preferences would only be valid for later rounds. It will not be valid for the main round.
