u can't know if ur under the cutoff or not.
Just say Commerce has 100 places....ok, so 500 ppl apply right?
they work out the UAI's of these 500 ppl in rank order, and distribute offers to the 100 ppl that have the best UAI's.
Ok, say, in rank order, the person with the 98th best UAI was 96.00, the 99th best UAI was 95.75 and the 100th best UAI was 95.50. Ok now there are only 100 places in the course. So the cutoff that is published is 95.50 - because thats the UAI of the last ranked person to get in. A person that got 95.25, therfore wasnt one of the 100 top students, and so missed out

Well perhaps at Sydney Uni, because aren't they cutting numbers?
I'm not sure about UNSW, but I assume it will, because it's an increasingly popular degree. Perhaps 96.00 @ UNSW, but as Laz said, its pointless trying to predict cutoffs
