could someone tell me the difference between a commonwealth supported place (CSP) and a domestic fee paying place (DFEE) as the uni course at UNSW that i want to do ( interior architecture) have two different UAI cutoffs , with a CSP uai being higher at 83.5 and the DFEE is only 78.4 . what does this mean!? i go to a private school in the inner city, and am unsure as to what category i go under?
any help appreciated

CSP - Commonwealth-supported place: student contributes toward cost of course.
DFEE - Domestic fee-paying: student pays a tuition fee i.e full cost of the course

so DFEE is a "bribe" to get into your desired course more easily ?
LOL...not exactly.
I don't know the real reason why DFEE places have lower cutoffs than CSP but I think that it's because they want to encourage more DFEE students to earn funds to run the uni so they actually make it easier for them to get in. Another possible reason could be because the demand is much higher for CSP than DFEE. Does anybody know the real reason(s)?
