I put in some rough estimates of what i think my scores could be.. it says 2001 90 uai, 2002 85 uai, 2003 80.1 uai, Am i to assume that it's about 75 uai for 2004? is this a continuing trend since the entrance has gotten harder, or people are just trying harder, or what?

Although it's easy to presume, you have to realise that if that's the pattern.. it's gotta end somewhere. It can't keep falling. :p

Seeing as the UAI is a rank, i think it must mean that alot more people are scoring higher marks in their HSC then in previous years.

If i did my HSC in 2001, and got the same marks i got in 2003, i would of got 97 UAI according to the SAM program, which is 4 UAI points higher then what i got this year.

I guess this could also mean the tests are getting easier.

But seriously, i have no clue, im just guesssing here. I don't understand much of how any of this is calculated. If you ask me it seems very very complicated. But Laz must understand it as he made his prediction program so acurate, so ask him.

I hate to admit it, but considering I practically lived off the 2001 and 2002 HSC papers before our HSC, I believe our exams were.. quite easy in comparison.

Yeah I kinda noticed that too after doing many years of practice papers. It's hard to say.

I wonder what SAM would say the 2003 UAI would be for someone who got 100 in 2002 or 2001.

i doubt they did it intentionally. i don't think all of the papers were easier / harder.

Depends what subjects. I was doing a little bit of fiddling, you can get a UAI of about 99.70 for 2003 while still getting a 100.00 in 2001 (99.90 in 2002).

Unfortunately I forgot what marks I put in :(
