here are my ranks:

chemistry 1/24 - 92%
physics 2/28 - 84%
economics 2/20 - 95%
mathematics 1/32 - 96%
maths ext1 2/14 - 75%
english std 2/95 - 80%
business studies 3/30 - 88%

will i be able to achieve 98+?

Those ranks and marks are really good....you might get 98 or above depending on how well you do in your external HSC. Just get Maths Ext 1, physics and english Std up by a little then it might be possible

Decent... correct if im quite off but the top UAI in your school is probably 98-99?

If thats the case, push all your ranks to 1st and school the externals to get 98.

yes you're right.. top uai was 99.65 a few years ago

for me, it is currently impossible to get 1st rank in the other subjects as theres some really smart people... i guess that is ok as i know they will score highly in the externals

i think last year was 99.10 and 98.60 being top...
