assuming you ace your external exams with say, high band 5' and band 6's

your heading towards a UAI of 62

If you went to Ruse, your UAI will be around mid 99s. Just because the quality of your cohort is much higher. Dun think they do Std Eng though.

Then it doesn't affect your UAI at all. It will wholly depend on YOUR performance in the HSC. You may well get 100 UAI.

my brother has a very good rank at a skool ranked 300+ but is thinking of changing to a skool ranked 200+

Because you are not ranked first in every single subject you do. So we need to know the quality of the cohort you are competing against.


You brother will not be better off unless he benefits from better learning environment, better teachers etc.
