hi

well i know lots of people have posted on help with there UAI predictions..i need help aswell..
Say i get these marks..
Internal Assessment & Ranking & HSC Mark

1) Maths 2u - 75% & 20/85 & 85
2) Maths 3u - 40% & 20/27 & 30
3) Legal - 60% & 15/40 & 85
4) Economics - 70%& 8/23 & 70
5) Business Studies - 80% & 15/120 & 80
6) Eng Adv - 80% & 20/100 & 80

Where you think my UAI would be?..

i am aiming btw 80-88UAI...would dat b possible?

Also just wanted to know..how much is the trials usually worth?..30%.40%? etc..
and how much are the other assessments worth?.. if people could also post how much there skool assessments for each assessment is worth..that be very much appreciated.

Edit: i hear most peoples saying that, mainly the trial HSC and the HSC are the main exams to worry about and it would help you get a better UAI if you do bad in the other assessments..is this true?..could some1 propli explain..

trials are worth 40%, assignments/assesments makes up 40%, half yearly 20%. (at my old school anyway)

No, any bad marks will NOT help you in getting a better uai. Do the best that you can always!

If you're referring to the HSC exam...it only constitutes 50% of your total HSC mark. The other 50% is determined using your raw school assessment marks which undergo a moderating and an aligning process.

well since i am going crap in school.. this is not regarding UAI but my final school assessment mark..

say if i got for my legal assessments:
1st Assesment(Legal)(15%) : 87%
2nd Assessment(Legal Half Yearly)(15%): 0% ..dun ask me why..
3rd Assesment (Legal)(15%): 85%
4th Assessment(Legal)(15%): 80%
Trial HSC (worth 40%): 80%

What will my school assessment mark be at the end?.. i don't know how to calculate it cause of the weighting of each assessment.. can someone help?..

Your raw internal assessment mark can be calculated as follows:
1st assessment = 0.87*15 = 13.05
2nd assessment = 0*15 = 0
3rd assessment = 0.85*15 = 12.75
4th assessment = 0.8*15 = 12
Trial = 0.8*40 = 32

Giving a total assessment mark of: 69.8

Note that this is only your raw mark and is yet to be moderated. This is not necessarily the mark that is going to appear on your HSC Record of Achievement.
