I know it probably wasn't called the UAI back then, possibly the TER and maybe something else before that - but I was wondering how the UAI (or equivalent) cutoffs have changed over the years.
Obviously there would have been fewer people going to university back in the 70s and 80s so by basic supply and demand, wouldn't the cutoffs have been a lot lower? I'm sure some courses have always been more competitive (e.g. Law, Medicine) than others, but have the highest cutoffs always been as high as they are now (e.g. 99+)?
I can't seem to find any information on the net, probably because why the hell would someone want to know about cutoffs for degrees a decade ago - but I'm really curious to know how they have risen/dropped/remained steady over the years. Any ideas? .
