hey are poems, such as Wordsworths poems, supposed to be underlined or in quotes when we introduce them?

'Hamlet' = text
Hamlet = character

but its in notepad and it has no formatting though or spell check obviously
so yeah... hence I can't underline so I don't need 2 worry about that

anyway, its up to you.
In my notes, yes I do have them underlined.

especially important if you do somethig like Hamlet where it is ambigious as to whether you are referring to the character or the play - same as something like Frontline

'Tintern Abbey' or Tintern Abbey = name of a text
"moral guardian" = quote from text (TA)
Wordsworth = author/character

whether you inclose a text's name or underline it doesn't matter so long as you're consistent in your approach
