Hey all!
I recently got an offer for UTS law, and was wondering what the best/ worst case scenarios might be with regards to transferring to UNSW or USYD into a DOUBLE DEGREE!
I heard that it’s easier to internally transfer, however most degrees are already full, and I didn’t think that far, leaving me with only a UTS offer just for law. That being said, does anyone know if UNSW looks at LAT results when externally transferring after a year, or is it primarily the WAM? Also, if I do eventually successfully transfer, would that potentially set me back in terms of having to do more studies, or will I just have a bigger workload.
P.S to clarify, I currently only have an offer for UTS law and want to transfer into UNSW/ or USYD into a double degree.
Any advice/ thoughts/ options are greatly appreciated. Thanks so much :)

in UNSW they only look at your WAM if you plan to internal program transfer :)
it's easier to transfer into law in UNSW than it is in USYD, in UNSW you just need to complete a year of courses with a minimum of 75 WAM (the lowest mark for a DN), so one way you could get in is by enrolling in the other half of the double law degree you want to do (economics, arts, criminology, commerce, etc) and then transfer internally into law in your second year of said degree

That minimum WAM is js the requirement tho. Like u have to get AT LEAST that js to be able to apply. I heard its quite competitive so you'd ideally be looking at an 80-85+ WAM. I was also told that they prefer/it easier if you do an IPT cross faculty. So this means transferring from e.g a B/Criminology into law since they're both under the Law and Justice Faculty. Dont quote me on that part tho- might be wrong.

HD wam minimum for usyd law, credit recognition will depend on whether the course is up to the requisite standard.
