This probably seems like a stupid question,

Just wondering about the SDA union or whatever it is.

I'm working at McDonalds as a junior casual...does that mean I can join a union? And also, should I join a union? If so, why? And where...

Yes you can join a union.

As to whether or not you join, its really upto you. I'm a member, because I believe in the collective good, as well as, even though nothing may ever go wrong, if something does, it will be nice to have them there. Its kinda like insuring your car or house, even though you may never have an accident, or may never be robbed...you wouldn't like it to happen, then have nothing covering you.

Don't join. The SDA are the biggest bunch of wankers, who take $6.30 from you every week for sitting on their arses and allowing all retail employees to get treated like shit every day.

As you can tell, Im not a fan of the SDA.
