Hello everyone,
I recently did the UNSW UniTest and got a pretty good mark. Definitely enough to get into my desired course.
They said that, if my UniTest mark is higher than my ATAR (which it will be), they will ignore my ATAR and accept me on the basis of the UniTest score.
BUT! I was wondering if there were certain requirements during my HSC that I had to fill to be able to use the UniTest score?
For example, do I have to score above a certain mark to be eligible?
I've looked online everywhere and can't find anything on it!
It would just take away a lot of stress.
Thank in advance for any help :)

It's a sort of 'alternate entry' IQ style exam.
You can't study for it, and it's only available if you're classified as disadvantaged.

Did it actually say something on the exam or results that it would pertain to UNSW?

The people in charge of the programme did.
We had to go to UNSW, do a 6 day programme, then on the last day we sat the exam.
A few weeks later, I got my mark.

How was it advertised? Online? via School? There doesn't appear to be an online link to UNSW, unless you can see one or you have a link from wherever, maybe an email.

Best to contact UNSW about it, I doubt many people (if anyone at all) here knows.

It was a programme that was introduced to us through our schools.
The programme was called U@UNSW and there were A LOT of kids there.
I'll try and contact the organisers.

Ughhh this is getting really stressful :S
Thanks for the advice anyway...

I was on the U@UNSW program also...do you know who got the highest mark for the unitest?

Because last year the highest was 69 for the unitest

I think they just look into your unitest score and ignore the other requirements... from what I heard your entry score for UNSW would be your unitest score+ your bonus points

I spoke to the organiser and the reason it wasn't listed on the UniTest website was because it's a trial and more of an internal thing.
Well I got higher than 69, and one of my friends got 95+. Don't remember exact numbers. But he can now do pretty much any course at UNSW except for Law or Medicine.
Yeah, I think you're right.
Ugh! All these point systems and bonuses are so confusing!

I did the unitest and got my resullt of 97.88 percentile today, what does that mean?? its so confusing, you can only use the unitest towards getting into Flinders in Adelaide and Maquarie university from my knowledge, i do know however that for flinders at least it doesnt completely replace your ATAR and you still need to meet any prerequitites. At flinders your uni test is used to make up 40% of your end score with the other 60% being your original HSC mark, and then at the end they add on any bonus points you may get,
