It used to be around 100, but since there are more HECS places available from this year onward, there will be around 120-130 places available.

Yes but don't forget some students are transferred into med science from other degrees, and have to take BSSM1110 in their second or third year of study, like my friend, who is in second year doing 1110. Also you don't have to take 1110 in first year, you can take it whenever you want, so those number may also include 2nd/3rd year med science students.
