URGENT CLASS ENROLMENT STUFF!

Hi, im a 1st yr unsw student doin B. Engineering, and I NEAD MOAR ENROALMENT HELLP!!!11

You see.. according to http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/unde...2008/3710.html , im supposed to choose 1 of

• MATH1231 Mathematics 1B (6 UOC)
• MATH1241 Higher Mathematics 1B (6 UOC)

but for some reason wen i click "Add Courses" and i type MATH 1231 in the multiple courses search box, i get

and i still get that if i write MATH1231 (no gap between) and if i go under 'Subject Area' and select MATH, i get a whole lot of math courses, including 1131 and 1141, but NOT including 1231 and 1241, so how do i enrol myself into MATH1231 Mathematics 1B (6 UOC)????????

is anyone else having this problem?????????

maybe i should call up the enrolment helpline.. anyone know wat i can do????????????????????????????

MATH1131 is for those who did fairly well overall in both Maths & Maths Ext. 1 (overall combined HSC mark of 100) while MATH1141 is for those who did exceptionally well in both Maths Ext. 1 & Maths Ext. 2 (overall combined HSC mark of 196)

Sure it is!!!
but wat im askin is why i cant add the math 1231 course to my list of classes, MATH1231, Mathematics 1B, does it have a new number instead of 1231? why cant i add it?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!

Are you enrolling for semester 1 or semester 2?

I'm guessing semester 1. You don't enrol in 1231/1241 until you've done 1131/1141.

you need to search for Maths 1A (1131/1141), not Maths 1B (1231/1241)

what he did in the HSC has nothing to do with whether he can enrol for a course on myunsw, the program that he's doing does.

to the OP, just search for math and it'll come up on the list somewhere.

If you look at the handbook page for MATH1231 and MATH 1241 you'll see they both have the prequisite of MATH1131 or MATH1141. You cannot study either of these courses until you have completed MATH1131 or MATH1141. So you cannot study them in your first session.

The program structure lists the courses by the year you study them, not the semester. You study MATH1231 or 1241 in second session after you've passed MATH 1131 or 1141.

The reason you cannot find these courses to add is that they aren't offered 1st session.
