what are the important days for uni in feb?

like orientation days etc...

some friends and i might not be here during mid feb, thats why i wanted to find out what days i HAVE to be here.

thanks a lot!


edit: i found out that the orientation days are the 12, 13 and 16 of feb. and we can be asked to go to any of the 3.
are there any other imp days?

Well UTS enrolments are happening from Tues 20th Jan to Fri 23rd Jan as far as I know, maybe a bit longer into the next week.

UTS Autumn Semester 1 starts on Mon March 1st.

UTS Orientation Week is from Mon 23rd Feb to Fri 27th Feb. It officially starts on Thurs 19th Feb but this is usually for students at the Non-City Campus.

There are only two important days during this Orientation Week. That wold be your faculty welcome and the O-Day on Wed 25th Feb. It is not necessary to attend orientation though.

UTS holds orientation camps for some of the faculties, including IT, Engineering and Law. The IT O-Camp is on the 16th - 18th of Feb, and the Law O-Camp is on the 18th - 20th Feb (as far as I know). Based on previous years, the Engineering O-Camp is usually during the official orientation week. Details will be provided to any UTS students who have a camp in their faculty when the offers are made.

Ok so do I have to go and enrol at UTS in person on those dates? Crap, that means yet another trip to Sydney!!! I hate travelling long distances!!!!! Can you enrol online or on the phone or something....

The only thing you really have to turn up for is enrollment. I found the orientation day a bit of a waste of time, although you should go if you can.
