I'm seriously having tonnes of trouble with this chapter. Everything else seems to be find, though this chapter is a bit hard for me, plus I haven't taken down any notes. I've checked the notes section and haven't found much, and skwirk is pretty long and doesn't really get straight to the point. I was hoping if anyone had any notes of their own.

Here's how our class handled it:

1. We were all given an assignment on a link of our choosing. Links included defence, migration, foregin aid, trade etc.(These are probably the easiest to do it on). In the assignment we had to:
  • Name the link chosen
  • Describe the link and identify the countries involved
  • Discuss the roles of the government and non-government organisations in relation to the link
  • Identify and describe the purpose of any treaty or agreement in relation to the link
  • Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this link to Australia or its people including social justice and equity issues
So basically choose 1 link and look at the information from skwirk which outlines a lot of this. I also looked up information on defence from wikipedia and other random google websites. If I couldn't find and clear cut information I would just use common sense, e.g for the last one you can kind of think of the advantages and disadvantages.

2. We also did foreign aid in class, though in the end it was no where near as good as the assignment.

Hey militiaman, would you happen to have a copy of that assessment on your computer, I'd really appreciate. I might be able to use it as study notes.
