Hey everyone, I'm a past 4U maths student and would just like to give future HSC students some perspective on this issue.
First of all, if you had bad results in year 11 but wish to study 4U anyway, go for it! As long as you have 12+ units, you can TRY 4U maths and see if it suits you.
A/B range maths students should generally consider doing 4U maths whist C range students may start to find the subject quite problematic. But results and year 11 performance is not the only factor to determine if you will do well in the subject...
