we're supposed to be able to analyse a text and say HOW an imaginative journey is created using techniques, or how they contribute to the IJ... right?
I dont really get which techniques would do this and how they would...?

also, should our texts (prescribed, stimulus booklet and supplementary) that we've chosen all be tied together with an imaginative journeys statement or thesis? or should they just answer the question?

Hey

From what I understand, the techniques in your texts do help create an imaginative journey for the responder, or for the characters in the text (depending on what text). There are so many techniques that can do this... Think about how are you engaged in the text- simple language techniques of metaphor and simile, imagery- appeals to the senses. These all help, describing the scene/setting which makes you feel as if you are there.

Don't really get your second question, but you should always have a thesis/intro for any essay. And as the topic is imaginative journeys it should cover what an imag. journey is, and answer the essay question. You can reference your texts there too and introduce your journey concepts.

Hope that is of some help!

(And you should have at least 2 texts per point)
