hi guys, Im 2024 graduate and will be going usyd next month. We have o week soon and was wondering whats the difference for Cohort welcome and welcome ceremony? If so, which is more beneficial to attend. Thanks

as a class of 2025 when do u even apply for uni -> after ur get ur results on december 14 or before

the welcome ceremony is more or less just being yapped to for like an hour. tbh though I’d just try go to as much welcome week stuff as you can because it’s a great way to make friends, I made a lot of my closest friendships from that week

The portal for selecting your courses opens around april or smth, this is where you apply for uni for all rounds (including entry entry.)

The first main round closes the midnight you get your atar, and after those round's offers are released you are free to change your prefectures for the second main round.

I'm going to both of them + the workshops n events. Apparantley the campus race js fun (it's like a treasure hunt)

just one more question, for usyd, there are so many options with electives and OLE and etc .. how do I know if i picked the corrected electives when enrolling? thanks @carrotsss

when you select your units, there are categories of credits that you need to complete to meet your degree requirements at the bottom right corner. if not, check your course guide for how many credits of each category you need, it varies per degree. if i recall correctly, you need 12 credits of OLEs and they are either worth 2cp or 6cp depending on the subject.

6 OLE credits. At least thats what I'm required to fulfil.

thanks, this is talking about the whole degree right- not per year? So can I choose to do my OLE next year instead of this year?
