I completed year 12 in 2013 and I am thinking of doing engineering at UWS, just wondering, is the course hard/very time consuming and in terms of not doing physics or any calculus in year 12, should I seek to complete a bridging course at UWS?
Is the Penrith campus any good?
What sort of work load do you receive?

Hi DjGeo, I just start my course the 2nd semster 2013, What would I like to say, even people have done physics and maths in HSC with a Band 4-5 some may struggles in physics and maths in university level. So what I recommended try the easy subjects, like mathematic for engineering preliminary, Engineering Design & Concept. You could try to do a diploma program in UWS college, or enrol in a full time course next year and try the subjects drop it before the census date, so see whether engineering is for you. By the way, the course itself and other university studies will still require the students do a lot of independent study. So it is still hard/time consuming for people who is not prepare and lack of initiative.
