discuss!!

whats your views of the metaphoric representation of the vampire and how it has changed from victorian, to contemporary and then onto neo-vampire literature.

I'm not sure about the classic stuff but I can only think of the twilight series when I think vampire...I guess it's gone downhill/.

I haven't bothered to read twilight as it seems people who actually know good lit don't like it, and it's only tweens that are really into it.
I remember one... that reminded me of what twilight sort of sounds like, but more adult. I can't remember if it was a vampire although it was something of the sort.
Moth diaries? I think that was it, a bit weird, but hell good considering standards nowadays

victorian literature depicting vampires was amazing. they were evil, complex and they allured.

the modern crap like twilight...where they glitter?
down down down down hill.
