Sooo...before I freak out. Here's my dilemma.

I need some things cleared up. I'm using Vanity Fair the film with Reese Witherspoon in it which was produced in 2004. So I sat there watching it, waiting for some 19th Century ways of thinking....

Here's what I got ;
- MARRIAGE
- SOCIAL STATUS
- SUBSERVIENCE OF WOMEN

See the last one, I'm not really sure about. I'm pretty much clueless as to use what film techniques, what characters etc.

Can someone just give me some guidance here. Any tecnhiques, any other 19th century ways of thinking? Thanks in advance for any help!
