Hey guys,

just a general question on why do salt bridge & electrolyte both "completes the circuit"? is it just because they balance the charge at each electrode?

So for instance, for the SO42-ions, it migrates to the anode(+) (and combines with any anions as a product of oxidation) but it does not take part in the recharging reactions?

I am able to identity species being oxidisied/reduced and do questions, but i thought it would be better to clarify on this issue too,

Thank heaps guys!!!!!:spin::spin:

A salt bridge usually keeps both sides neutral, it allows the spectator ions to basically migrate.
