Try this site - it's the VCAA website - http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/vce/index.html . It just has general details, to information about VCE subjects, results etc . . . 
One other thing, do you guys still have the study designs on your booklists? If not try to get your hands on the VCE study designs - there are study designs for each subject - basically this is where you can find the objectives for your subject. I think each book goes from unit 1 - 4. Can't be sure, you'll have to check on that one. But yeah, I only just found out about following the objectives in the study designs last yr - it was recommended by my Eng tutor and one of my teachers.
