wtf is this, i came back to the computer and a screen says:

You have been Updated

Your Viewpoint Media Player was recently updated with the latest components to enhance your web viewing.

A new browser updaate is recommended, including advanced pop-up blocking and graphically enhanced search.



I'm not updating
but what has been installed?
how did i get it?
how do i stop getting crap like this?

Run Spybot search and destory. Rinse and repeat.

i just googled it as well and it seems to be spyware

viewpoint media player isn't really spyware. think of it as something like flash or java.

EDIT: you can uninstall it from add/remove programs.
