Yes, I know its far from literature, but there something compelling about it (despite the incest motif). If anyone hasn't read it yet - don't go for the latest ones (coz they're shitty) but something like Flowers in the Attic and My Sweet Audrina.

:p Sorry guys, its more of a chick's book. Although it would be interesting to see what guys have read it.

I haven't read any of them, but you are right on the incest motif. My sister has read a few of them, and virtually every one (I asked. :p) has incest in some way.

I've read a few of her books. They're quite addictive. All of her books have similar storylines but they're still grrreat. Makes you sad too lol. :D Yeh the old ones are better than the latest ones.

most of the newer ones, the books written after flowers in the attic weren't written by her.

omg.. talk abt her... i ahve practicialli read every single book of hers...

i started reading her when i was lyk in yr 8.... and was v moved by *flowers in the attic* and watched the movie several times... and read nearli every book of hers i could get my hands on.....

then i re read a couple of them in yr 11.. and realised how twisted and sick she is..... her writing is rather formulaic...... it's alsmost the written parrallel of the bold and the beautiful.... with brook logan being the main character who everyone wants to sleep with....

before i realli liked her.. and thought to myself.. *woah this woman can realli write*.. now looking bk... she is so twisted and retarded and there is somehting v down right trashy abt her writings... do apologise if this offends u for that is not my purpose

True. The ones after Flowers in the Attic were written by her family and I think publicist. Something like that. She passed away and they wanted to continue the books in memory of her.

I got stuck into them when I was in Yr6. A bit young to be reading her books. Lots of promiscuity. Aern't a few of her books based on true stories?

I agree about the Bold and the Beautiful part. We know its trash but its still very addictive and we have to watch/read it. I guess it easily appeals to our emotions but hey, I still like her old books. :)

I reckon that their storylines are so similar...however my favourite series would have to be Casteel series

I 'LOVED' that book, wrong on a few levels but you get that. i hink she had polio or something and thats why she took up writing, i could be wrong though. i havent read one in ages. so easy to do a short one over in like a day

The beginning books all under her own name are all written by her and the ones under VC Andrews are written after she died by a ghost writer and her publicist from notes she had made before death
