We have to find an image about belonging, analyse it and then write an imaginative writing text. I am finding it hard to find a good image that i can really commit to and analyse well. Anyway does anyone have good idea for images that are would good to analyse in terms of path of vision, visual metaphors and etc.

Anyway i've done quite a bit of work on this task, i am kind of finished and but not really finished. Anyway i've been working with the (i am still willing to start over again if someone can give me a better image)/

A Painter on the Road To Tarracosa, 1888 by Vincent Van Gogh

Basically i've been saying something along the lines of that the image that the image create a path of vision that makes the "painter" the salient point of the image. The subject "offers" its destination on the road. My analysis is pretty shotty as you can thats why i am not all that confident. Anyway i somehow go on to say that the image is saying that boundaries created by the pressures to belong can suppress the individual from moving on and growth. This is seen in the image's depicted of the of the painter (Van gogh) who is seen almost escaping or leaving behind it shadow whilst carrying his easel and equipment. The easel and other equipment can be seen as archetypes of the Parting profession/Artists, this in conjunction with the alienation of the painter conveys the lonely path that is necessary to the profession and is experience by Van gogh.

So basically belonging = restriction to progress,

So anyway my story idea is about a character who is taken to an Alien planet and experiences 100 times worth happines, laughter, health and content (etc) that is experience on earth. But now has to contemplate home and remaining a foreign citizen in the planet.
