I was wondering if anyone could be of assistance. Does anyone know anything about dictation software, i.e, you give the computer voice commands, or in the case I want, you can dictate to word processors.
What is the best brand?
What is the cheapest?
What is something that is compatible with a Toshiba laptop running windows 98?
Is it possible to 'learn' voice recognition software to recognise a voice being played back that has been recorded elsewhere?
And where could I get it from (in Sydney and elsewhere in NSW)?

Dragon Naturally Speaking is generally regarded as the best in voice recognition software, but it will cost you. The package usually comes with a microphone and everything you need to get going, though.

I was thinking more along the lines of when I'm driving for three hours and my radio keeps dropping out. I might has well do something constructive, like start an essay that is probably due tomorrow or something.
