i bought a top at an op shop stall at the surry hills festival. obviously i was feeling rather good about myself, and hadn't caught a glimpse of my reflection in several hours. i didn't try it on. i got home and the zip wouldn't do up all the way. what shall i do? treble my exercise routine and stop eating? or get it altered? will an alteration ruin it?

If you're lazy and rich, surgery is an option.

If you're actually bigger than you should be, then buying a smaller size top is a good motivation to start exercising and watching what you eat.
Otherwise, get it altered.

cut the zip off it, and do it up with safety pins.

OOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

put them eylets thingos on either side of where you cut the zipper off, and put in a really nice ribbon so you can lace it up and do it up like that. And you would be able to change the color and type of ribbon on a daily, fuck, even hourly, basis to suit your mood.

how much did the top cost?
alterations could cost a fair bit more then you paid for the top.
Or just lose a few kg's.

ummm this thread cannot possibly be for real can it!!??

Its from an op shop, how much could it possibly have cost. A top not fitting is not the end of the world... redonate it, and get a new one.

There are many poor little tops out there that will fit you just waiting to be tried on....

Sheesh!
