What are "rep points"? (1 Viewer)

I heard someone say you need 125 rep points to have a custom status. what are rep point and how do you know how many you have? i couldn't find this in the FAQ.

rep points don't exist anymore, so disregard that

they use to be points system where members would praise each others posts. it was designed to encourage helpful posts. It last I believe, more than a year. It only ended up in rep-trading (ie swapping points), "popularity" and the egotism of a "e-penis" as well as helpful members not getting much praise at all.

Helpful members can apply for Benefactor status. The application is then accepted or denied by the supermods.

Ohh is that how I got custom status? Haha I signed up ages ago for SAM and never used the forum^^

it didnt work very well i will have to agree. i found that my good and helpful posts were not repped but my somewhat irregular posts were rewarded with reps
