Hi,
In 2016 I will be studying a bachelor of arts/ law combined degree, however I am not interested in becoming a lawyer (at this point anymore) and have more interests in careers regarding writing, law reform, policy work, foreign correspondent, criminology/ intelligence, history, archaeology, international relations, politics etc.
However I am unsure what exactly such jobs entail and how to make the most of a law degree if you are not considering practicing law. The reasons I chose law was I have strong skills in English and writing but also because I felt law would provide a strong foundation, a set of useful skills and some direction as the degree I am combining with is Arts (my passion).
I was considering after completing an undergraduate combined law degree, doing a masters in communication or another arts/ social science related subject.
If you studied law but chose not to practice law, what types of careers did you pursue and what are your career stories. Please share, it would be really helpful in understanding the different options available.
Thank you
