What do i do if i wanna get into monash or melb or some out of state uni? (1 Viewer)

Im not sure how they would eval a student's merit in diff states, since they have diff "hsc" equivalents. So if i got a good uai in NSW but wanted to go monash, how would I do it? and where are the course lists for these other unis?

NSW and Vic are pretty much the same, only difference is that the highest you can get in Vic is 99.95. A NSW UAI is equivalent to a Victorian TER I believe.

You apply through VTAC (Victoria's UAC).

Your VTAC preferences don't affect your UAC preferences, you can still have 9 UAC preferences and it is possible that you may get an offer from both.

Whats a TER I?
Judging from vics smallness, both geographically and in population, i highly doubt a 99.50 in NSW is worth 99.50 in vic.

they have a different testing system down there...called the VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education) and at the end of year 12 you get an ENTER instead of a UAI, but they equate to the same thing because they are both ranks, not scores. Not sure how they translate cos the max enter you can get is 99.95 (not 100) so u might end up getting .05 less, i dunno....in either case try your best in the HSC.

the admissions centres collaborated and formed an interstate equivalences rank table so that they are similar hence noone is supposed to be disadvantaged... hopefulli
