On my new laptop I have a few things which i dont know what they do:

1) Program: jave webstart application

2) program" software setup"



Well, those are the main two. I have XP Professional ...

java webstart is a new method to distribute java applications. It hasn't really caught on with developers though.

"software setup" could be anything.
