I am thinking of starting a mini stall at markets selling real 59 fifty hats, all different shirts all real stuff....

like a paddeys what are the prices?

or any other good stalls in places?

do you need some kind of a licence to start selling this stuff?

I see many people in paddeys doing it ok :|

um I think daily hire is 35 dollars, but that's at a lower rate market, anything up to 100 dollars I'd say but if your selling real stuff then you'll probably get it back. No license as far as I know, just rock up early, go home late.

My girlfriend and I have been thinking of this for a while...
Contact the market organisers..? I'm sure they'll know all your answers. Good luck, have fun, all the rest of it!

I'm a market co-ordinator for major fresh produce market so I have a bit of experience in what you'd be looking at:

Firstly, contact market directors and co-ordinators. They'll be on-site and just asking stallholders whereabouts you might find them is all you need to do. You'll be looking at anything for rent, from a $30 Trash'n'Treasure to more fancied markets such as Paddies etc charging anything up to some exhorbanant rates.

You also have to consider the possibility of insurance cover etc which some markets, such as mine require to even step foot on the market.

Keep in mind if you're selling real stuff, it may be hard for you to make a buck when there are so many cheap rip offs that people are likely to buy.
