Seriously, this may sound like the dumbest question ever. Though what does it mean when it says, "Implications of Population Trends". How would I answer a qeustion in relation to this?
it means the way australia's population is changing and the factors which are resulting from it
ie. australia's population has increased greatly since the post ww2 period due to arthur calwell's 'populate or perish' and also because of the baby boomer incentive.
implications:
the population of the baby boomer period are reaching retirement age- this means that there are too many old people in australia, not enough young ones in the workforce and as a result of that taxation will increase dramatically as there will not be enough people paying tax
other implications of population trends include the australian government's obligations to provide services such as nursing homes and health care to the older population
needs which should be provided by the government (concerning population trends) include:
- traffic control
- air and water management
- accomodation
- providing infrastructyre
- employment
