Hi, I doing my PIP on the differences between men and women and whether the cause is biological or due to our social construct or socialisation.

I'm using a forum discussion as a methodology (if this thread is successful in gaining info). What do you guys think contribute to gender differences and roles? What don't you get about the opposite sex and why you think this is so?

Your contribution would help enormously =)

past beliefs and stereotypes that has been brought on from the past...

eg.
  • that men are physically stronger and are therefore seemingly unfit for "girly" tasks such as cooking, and motherly stuff...
  • the idea that mothers are most of the time, the ones that are gonna be the care-givers... and that males are going to be the breadwinner...

...hmm.... i think ur pip topic is too big though. :)

and slightly over-done

and cross-culturally, 100% accurate information on other areas/races/cultures mightnt be too easy to get (unless you know people living overseas)
