Hey, i was wondering if anyone know what a DIALKYL PHTHALATE is in detail. Please dont just say its a ester with a big alkyl group and a long acid branch.

And if you do know can you give me an example with it.

A dialkyl phthalate is an ester of benzene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid (phthalic acid) and 2 similar or different alkyl chains with the formula CnH2n+1.

Examples
Di-2-ethylhexylphthalate
Dimethylphthalate
Diisobutylphthalate
