What it takes for band 6 (1 Viewer)

For anyone who got band 6 or scored well for physics could you please shed some light on the way u achieved? ie. what u emphasised when studying etc. my teacher gives us heaps of stuff to do like work on pracs but i'm wondering what is really necessary for a at least 90 uai because i need to use my time efficiently for 3unit and hopefully 4unit maths next year (i'm in year 11).

The skills section of the syllabus is about 20-25% of the HSC and there always in at least one of the mandatory pracs examined. You often tell who hasn't done the prac because they miss a minor detail and it won't work.

To help the OP the qualities of a Band 6 student are in no particular order:

1. Extremely passionate about the subject
2. Excellent ->outstanding mathematical skills
3. Coherent writing skills i.e. a flow in their discuss, describe and explain questions
4. Good-> excellent diagram drawing skills


To be honest these qualities above are sometimes not the norm. usually a Band 6 student has an outstanding quality in one or more of the above areas.

Good luck and keep trying and find your niche to what works best for you.
