what percentage of uni students go on to do hons? (1 Viewer)

in the usyd arts faculty it's about 30%, i think. cant remember exactly where i got that figure from but it was in some faculty brochure.

yeah it obviously depends on the course/faculty, but id say 30-35% is a fair estimate.

In my third year 'pre-honours' english subject at UNSW, when the lecturer asked us who was thinking about going on and doing honours 2 out of 20 in the seminar raised their hand.

So i'd say (in my course and uni at least) closer to 10% of students end up in honours. Sounds about right from the class sizes i've viewed in the online handbooks.
